The Brent Wilson Inspiring Hope Scholarship was established in memory of Brent by his wife, Beth Wilson. The recipient of this scholarship shall be an upper class student at the University of Memphis who has decided to major in the Fogelman College of Business and Economics.
This scholarship will help carry out Brent’s legacy by sharing his love for and support of others. Brent showed that love through humor and acts of service, and he never asked for or wanted anything in return. While Brent and Beth never had children of their own, they always talked about how if they did, their number one goal would be to find a way to pay for their college education, so they wouldn’t have to experience the burden of student loans. To honor Brent, Beth wants to support an exemplary student with a desire to lead and motivate others. Special consideration is given to a student who may not have had the easiest path to achieve his/her goal. This could include personal, financial or circumstantial burdens.
